This stunning chair is made from the highest quality black wood and is newly upholstered in beautiful white leather. This contrasting color scheme gives it a great eye-catching style. This specific chair comes with flat armrests, making it a very rare edition of an already much sought-after chair.

In good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.

Furniture designer Ib Kofod-Larsen’s furniture from the 1950s and 1960s are today more desirable than ever before. Danish Kofod-Larsen designed storage and seating for the Swedish market in the 1960s but did not really reach any commercial success. Maybe his organic design was to extreme for the Swedish taste at the time. In Denmark, on the contrary, his sideboards produced by Faarup won immediate recognition. Today his creations are sold at higher and higher prices, as his clean designs, often in beautiful rosewood or Palisander, have become highly appreciated by a global Community of design enthusiasts. Ib Kofod-Larsen’s most celebrated achievement is the Elizabeth chair and ottoman, model U-56, executed by Christensen and Larsen.
