Beautiful desk by Jorge Zalszupin, manufactured by L’Atelier San Paulo, circa 1960.
Made of high quality jacaranda wood. The desk has four drawers with very well crafted grips made of wood and leather.
In good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
Jorge Zalszupin is a Polish/Brazilian architect and designer noted for modern design. In the 1950s Zalszupin founded L’Atelier, a furniture design manufacturer in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Zalszupin’s one-off designs were included by Oscar Niemeyer in the Palácio da Alvorada and the Palácio do Planalto.
