Beautiful extendable dining table designed by Arne Vodder, manufactured by Sibast in Denmark, circa 1960.

This stunning table is completely made of high quality tropical hardwood and has two extension leaves, making it extendable from 125cm in diameter to 175 to 225 cm in width! It is an eye-catching, versatile table and a beautiful piece of Danish design that would make a great addition to any modern / Scandinavian interior.

This table is flawless and remains in excellent condition, being professionally restored.

Arne Vodder opened his own studio with the architect Anton Borg after being trained by Finn Juhl. In the 1950s and 1960s he designed a wide range of items. His works are simple and modest and known to be very well-crafted. From the 1950s, Vodder worked with the furniture company Sibast on several sets of office furniture. In the 1960s his furniture was found everywhere in mainly the United States, in banks, hotels and even the White House. He gained popularity across the planet and soon enough his designs were found all-over the world. Together with Verner Panton and Nanna Ditzel his work was shown on many international exhibitions.
