A colonial style desk / dressing table designed by Toko van der Pol in Java, Indonesia around 1930.
The rectangular and asymmetrical shape of the desk is inspired by the New Hague School (1925-1940). Made of high quality teak wood in a nice brown colour, this modern styled piece has a truly eye-catching appeal! The desk has ebonized ornaments and the stool is upholstered with green ribcord. The piece has several shelves as well as a drawer and storage unit with door and drawer. All together, the unique appearance of the set will make it a fantastic addition to the decor!
Provenance: Gallery Frans Leidelmeijer, the Netherlands
It remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
