A beautiful side table with magazine shelf, designed by Cesare Lacca and manufactured in Italy around 1950.
This amazing piece is made of high quality wood in a deep, warm brown colour. The frame of the piece is very nicely crafted with curved, organic shapes. It has a wooden framed, clear glass top. Underneath that it holds a magazine shelf with more straight shapes, which nicely contrasts to the curved legs and combines very nicely! Also made of glass and with an additional glass plate in the middle to separate the two halves. Other side of the magazine tray has a metal holder. All together these combination of shapes and materials show that this piece is very well designed by one of Italy’s most iconic designers from the mid-century!
The piece remains in very good, original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
