A unique pair of “Arco” lounge chairs designed by Paul Tuttle, manufactured by Strässle in Switzerland in 1976.
Made of beautiful chrome plated metal in bent shapes, with a smooth leg to armrest transition. The seats and backs are upholstered in high quality black leather, which gives a very nice contrast to the bright colour of the frame. The chairs have a real sense of luxury, and would make a beautiful addition to any decor. The backrest is slightly tilted, creating a maximum seating comfort.
All together this impressive pair remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful vintage patina.
Known for his expansive creativity and refusal to be content with easy solutions, Paul Tuttle was one of the most original, prolific and uncompromising designers of the mid-to-late twentieth century.
