A very rare table lamp designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson, manufactured by Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB / AB Markaryd in Sweden, circa 1960.
This very special lamp is made of high quality white lacquered metal with a plywood hood. The wood is very nicely bent in two cilinder shapes, beautifuly connected with some additional space to emit a nice, warm light. This is a highly recognizable piece by Jakobsson as seen in his hanging lamp designs, but extremely rare as a table lamp! It is labeled on the base.
It remains in very good original condition, with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a nice patina.
