This impressive floor lamp in Brutalist style was produced in the Netherlands, circa 1960.
It is made of different shades of metal, copper and clear synthetics. It is shaped like a big fish, including metal kelps going up from the foot, which creates a very unique style that fits perfectly within the Brutalist movement. The design is made with a very nice eye for detail: the “kelps” have round ends, the fish seems to open it’s mounth revealing some big teeth and there are many details on the fins and body of the fish. The clear material of it’s body beautifully diffuses the light when switched on. This lamp will definitely draw the attention in any interior!
It remains in good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
