A fantastic wall mounted wooden artwork made by Barend Jordens in the Netherlands around 1920.
The square piece has a beautiful drawing carved into the wood, in the shape of Adam and Eve and the forbidden fruits. The quality, warm brown wood gives the piece a wonderful warm appearance that will add a lovely appeal to the decor.
This impressive piece of art was revealed at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts (Exposition internationale des arts décoratifs et industriels modernes) in Paris in 1925 and won the silver medal!
Provenance: Gallery Frans Leidelmeijer, the Netherlands
It remains in very good, vintage condition, preserving a beautiful patina!
