A stunning early edition “Martingala” chair by Marco Zanuso, manufactured by Arflex, Italy around 1950.
An iconic find of Italian mid-century design, made with an impressive eye for detail and excellent quality materials and finishing. The chair is newly upholstered in grey wool and has a brass base, the materials compliment each other nicely and add to the elegant and luxurious style. The rounded, slightly backwards leaning seat adds to a fantastic seating comfort with plenty support. The chair would fit perfectly in any interior looking for a real eye-catcher!
It has the original manufacturer label underneath, as shown in photos.
This amazing piece remains in excellent condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
