A beautiful “Penguin” chair designed by Theo Ruth, manufactured by Artifort in the Netherlands around 1950.
This iconic chair is newly upholstered in beautiful two tone grey kvadrat fabric. The colour difference adds a wonderful contrast and really emphasizes the beautiful design of this piece! The seating and back- and armrests are divided in two interlocking pieces, making it possible to change the seating position for maximum comfort. The feet are made of dark stained beech wood, perfectly matching the piece. A real eye-catcher in any interior and a must-have for any Dutch design enthusiast!
The chair remains in very good condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
