A beautiful, extra large “Uchiwa” wall lamp by Ingo Maurer, manufactured by M-Design in Germany in the 1960s.
Resembling the traditional Japanese fans, this lamp is made of high quality bamboo and paper, carefully threaded to create an elegant shape. It has a tall bamboo arm which adds to the impressive size and appeal of the piece! When lit, it emits a warm light through the paper that will add really nicely to the atmosphere in the room. It combines a natural feel with a modern style and will fit in many different decors, creating warmth as well as adding a unique decorative touch! A highly recognizable and much sought after piece of vintage design!
The lamp remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
