A beautiful glass plate / scale designed by Tapio Wirkkala, manufactured by Venini in Italy around 1990.
Made of high quality Murano glass with an azure blue core, this piece has a truly stunning appearance! The blue core double-functions as a base, gently lifting the scale from the floor and creating a nice multi-dimensional effect. It is hand signed at the side of the core and has the original manufacturer’s sticker on it. Both can be seen in the photos.
This piece has a very high decorative value! It remains in very good, vintage condition with only minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
